Bob:
We are a Harbinger BP. I can not answer most of your questions, however
since the upgrade from V2 to V3 was really a migration (not everything comes
over), I am pretty certain that the move to V5 will be similar. I still
actually prefer the Green Screen version of EDI/400. The issue with the VB
mapper talking to the dB via ODBC is a bit of a pain if you are trying to
connect to a client remotely. Factor into that proxy servers, firewalls,
etc. and it can be a real mess. I have had to beg Harbinger to ship a V2.11
translator for one of my remote clients. It is just not cost effective to
fly to a clients to make a small mapping change.
I am interested to see some of your replies.
Good luck and best regards,
CJG
