This is in follow-up of your request regarding a solution for
interfacing
your EDI transactions with a non-Edi set up.

Besides other solutions that may be available in the market, I know that

Radiant Inc offer the same solution – this company, based in Florida,
offers
various kinds of e-solutions and the product/service you are seeking is
one
of them. I have been presented a demo of their solution.

The solution offers the following:

a. Convert the EDI input into delimited or fixed format flat files in
multiple formats
b. Convert multiple flat file formats into desired edi format.
c. Handle errors and do notifications.

For Oracle applications, they also provide solutions for extraction of
different information and also import of data using standard APIs and
custom
codes.

Hope this information helps.

Is any one using or have knowledge about Ariba? Panasonic is looking at

them, and other possible services, as a transaction service provider.
For
our domestic factories, we are considering to have a service provider
deliver our EDI order processing data in what ever application system
format
our factories are on no matter if they use Oracle, PeopleSoft, etc. We
would also use this type of service to map and facilitate taking their
data
(order acknowledgement, ship notices, etc. ) from their application
system
and convert it back to us way we want it to be which is via EDI. This
will
eliminate the need of our factory partners to do EDI development on
their
side which today takes far too long. This is the first time we have
ever
considered such a step.
Anyone got an experience to share on this topic...or offer an alternate
suggestion?

Sure, Barb. You could pose your question and I could forward it to the
membership from my e-blast list.

Hi Kim, I want to ask a question to the membership. Is there a way you
can
help me out with this without me creating my own list? I've never done
this
with the membership and I could use your expertise! If
not...........ugh!.......I will take care of it on my side.
Regards!
