Sounds to me like someone trying for a free lunch.  It will be interesting
to see him try to defend against challenges involving prior implementation.

Did anyone else read the article in today's Wall Street Journal "A
Billion-Dollar Patent?" by William M. Bulkeley?"  It is very
interesting.  This could effect the cost and way international B2B
happens over the Internet.

Briefly: Mr. Ed. Pool of Union Hall, VA is going to get a patent for the
"process Using Internet for Foreign Trade."

Three quotes of interest: "applied for a patent based on the software,
covering the computerization of the entire trade process...", "issuing a
patent...is virtually automatic.", and "Mr. Pool's goal is to collect a
fee equal to 0.3% of each computerized trade deal across borders."
