While the SD Mapper product will make it easier for the start up process; it
is not totally necessary.
IDOCS are mapped, to and from, just like any other file. There are some
considerations on getting the file loaded into SAP. One thing that the SD
mapper production may provide is predefined status IDOC mappings.
