Yes, IBM has an execlent translator for MVS and CICS called DATAINTERCHANGE
(DI), the translator can
also handle XML.

It's possible to get an CLIENT version of DI, where you can make the
translation local on your pc, and then upload
it to the MVS.

As an IBM'er I use it every day, it's a very strong product.
