After I saw your post to EDI-L, I contacted Harbinger to ask about using FTP
from the Harbinger EDI/400 v2.11. Here is what they told me "The only FTP
connections supported are to Harbinger or IBM IE and it does take version eV5
on the AS/400 EDI/400 platform to use FTP." If you were connecting to all
VANs via EDI/400 v.211 how did you do it since Harbinger says that it can not
be done even with the lastest version.

At my last company (I was Dir. IS) I used FTP to all VANs and dialup direct
to Wal-Mart. We had very few problems over the four years that we used the
internet. It was on an AS/400 using Harbinger EDI/400 v. 2.11
