Hi,
How do existing translators handle the licencing of the EDI X12 standards issue? i.e In case we are writing translators, we will be buying the table data diskettes from DISA. The web site mentions that these table data diskettes can be included in a product for re-sale.
Do the existing translators supply the .SEF files (the raw standards data) also along with the translator? Or is the company which is buying the translator supposed to buy the same from DISA? Or is the raw standards data embeded inside a translator and so the Company buying the translator cannot view/access the same? Since we are in process of designing a translator, I wanted to get this issue cleared. Any input's from you would be appreciated?
