Ron, to learn more about the NCPDP, go to www.ncpdp.org. The NCPDP standards for retail pharmacy claims are the standards adopted under HIPAA for **retail** claims only. They are **NOT** a subset of X12 standards, but rather, an ANSI standard in their own right. NCPDP is an ANSI accredited SDO.
