Susan When you say FTP versus EDI format, do you mean sending a flat file via FTP versus a standard EDI format? When you say the cost of EDI, are you referring to VAN costs? You can certainly send data in EDI standards using FTP to private FTP servers instead of VANs. And that would save costs. If they want you to send flat files then that would propably ending up costing you more it time and resources, especially if more companies were doing their own propietory flat files.

Their decision to sway toward ftp was the cost of edi. Because of this reason, I believe other customers will do this as well. I know this isn't necessarily a Data Interchange question, but has anyone out there experienced this?
