I have actually been charged with the same task recently and am very
interested in gathering more information, specifically how the EDI
team should be structured. Someone posted that there should be a
liaison type person(s) that interfaced with the business (LOB) and
the EDI Team Lead/Developers. I also believe this as the business
should drive the direction of the EDI projects.

My company is about $7B with around 250 trading partners. The
current EDI staff (me) supports both customers and suppliers, and
some railroads. We do 204,404,810,820,832,844,850,855,856.

Can anyone provide any links to case studies or more discussion in
this area?

Thanks.
Jeff Blackston
Applications Integration Developer (EDI)
