Doesn't seem like you have a blanket (BK). The SA tells you the document is
stand alone.

Wow. That defies logic.

Both BEG02 and BCH03 are called a "Purchase Order Number" and the
purpose,
according to the standards, is "Identifying number for Purchase Order
assigned by the orderer/purchaser."

Out of sheer morbid curiosity, what on Earth are they trying to send in
those fields?

Thank you for replying Richard. Unfortunately, not all of our Trading
Partners are using "common sense" "standard practice". We're trying to
convince them of this in regards to the BCH02/BEG02 but need some backup
to prove our point.

I would say that beyond "standard practice" that it almost should be
"common
sense." :)

Subject: [EDI-L] Matching 860 to 850

Is it an EDI standard practice for the BCH02 element in the 860 to
match the BEG02 element in the corresponding 850 document?

Thank you!
Pauline
