I agree with Rich that I would think long and hard about moving a large
scale EDI implementation into webMethods, but I would think long and hard
about moving a large scale EDI implemtation into ANY platform.

We're a consulting company in Northern Europe specializing in systems
integration and webMethods and we've helped a range of customers to migrate
their EDI implementations to webMethods EDI. This includes implementations
of 1000+ TPs and 200 000 transactions/month.

webMethods is a very solid and robust integration platform, covering not
only EDI and other B2B integration but also EAI-integration.

With best regards,

Subject: RE: [EDI-L] Webmethods and EDI experiences

We have a group at J&J who is doing EDI using webMethods. They have a
limited number of partners and a limited number of mappings and it seems to
serve them in good stead. I will forward your message to them in case they
wish to share some of their experiences with you.

However, keeping in mind that all my evidence is anecdotal, and the plural
of anecdote is not data, I would think long and hard about moving the
Consumer franchise's 500-some-odd TPs and 35,000 transactions/month into
webMethods.

Does anyone have any experiences to share with using Webmethods to replace
an old fashioned translator? I have heard some stories but want
verification.
