DESCRIPTION Position Title: EDI Project Manager Location: Houston, TX Duration: Permanent Start Date: ASAP Interviews: ASAP IV Process: Phone then Face to Face Perm Salary: Up to 95K with 15% bonus structure (bonus is paid out bi-annually) * Position will involve serving in a Account Manager/Project Planner/Manager Role * Leading initiatives on how to best service exisiting & new customers after implementation efforts have taken place (i.e- currently with the account Nike they have about 8 issues open that need quite abit of follow up with Internal EGL IT & Business Units to ensure issue is closed out and resolved. * Someone with the background in Business & IT that can understand the issues & get to the root cause analysis & follow through to help solve them * Project Planning Skills will be extremely important (in particular how they have utilized MS Project for Project PLanniong purposes & what methodology you utilize). A qualified candidate must at least 3 to 5 years experience in Project Management and preferably has experience implementing multiple EDI projects. o Provide Project Management for multiple EDI implementation projects o Analyze project needs related to EGL applications/systems and provide analytical advice, direction, and recommendations to assigned project team members o Develop detailed project plans including time and cost estimates and obtain project approval o Manage the project plan timelines o Lead cross-functional team members to implement approved projects assigned o Facilitate cross-functional requirements gathering and analysis sessions and document project specifications o Work closely with EGL EDI SW Engineers and 3rd Party Consultants to coordinate project task scoping, estimation, planning, and monitoring activities o Establish specifications and objectives based on business requirements and cost effectiveness o Coordinate activities of cross-functional teams to achieve various aspects of IT projects, including work plans, system design and/or testing of existing systems o Evaluate and recommend modifications of basic IT systems that takes into account changes in business requirements o Provide input throughout projects on feasibility, design, testing, process flow, and/or controls o Work with the business to provide efficient use of business applications, processes or controls to ensure successful integration of all projects, enhancements, maintenance and problem resolution o Coordinate review, handoff, and ongoing clarification of specifications to the development, business and operations teams o Provide assistance in creating the EDI/B2B Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) business team will execute upon projects going into production o Train internal and external customers as needed on the implemented solution o Proactively identify business needs and ensure that the product satisfies a variety of customer workflows. Gather, analyze, and prioritize customer needs and synthesize into requirements o Effectively negotiate and resolve conflicting inputs. Manage stakeholder expectations and gain buy-in. o Track and communicate progress on all projects and tasks assigned o Define test plans and manage the testing and implementation process o Proactively communicate with business liaison or application team to identify and resolve problems o Coordinate execution of test plans with customer and other IT team members o Communicate with software vendors to maintain knowledge of upcoming enhancements to applications I look forward to hearing from you soon.
