EDI testing does provide a few minutes of extreme hilarity. I thought that I would share this with you.
Background: After locating a lost UPC prefix for a client, which was needed for EDI testing, we find out that no... UPCs are not going to be used. We get an extension because the 855 specs were not online, only to be told a few weeks later that the 855 is no longer required. Now this: ------- Forwarded message follows ------- Subject: CUSTOMERNAME (DIVNAME) EDI Testing Date sent: Mon, 18 Aug 2008 09:29:28 -0500 From: <testing [EMAIL PROTECTED]> Good Morning, I was just told by CUSTOMERNAME to cancel MYCLIENTNAME testing as they are part of their DIVNAME division which was just sold. Thank you, Implementation Analyst SPS Commerce - The EDI Outsourcing Experts My client is stunned. They just had to shell out $500.00 for SPS Commerce testing. In addition, there is my time to implement and test the new maps and label. This deal must have been in the air for months, yet they pushed EDI testing forward. I'll have to research how many suppliers were affected in the sale of this division. Lesson learned: Early adoption is usually a bad thing.
