Hmmm... Well, in the 832, you do have the LIN loop and the PO1
(baseline item data) segment. In PO 103, you can have Element ID
355 - for the UNIT OR BASIS FOR MEASUREMENT CODE that is then
followed by the Unit Price in PO 104. It's the same as used in an
outbound PO.

My thinking could be that you could have a PO1 line item for each
measurement you're trying to convey - Each (EA), Case (CA), Square
foot (SF) and Square yard (SY). There's also package (PK) and a
load of other possible choices. Even further, there are codes for
LINEAR measurements (LF, LM - meter, LY - yard, and even LX - linear
yards per pound)...

That's another way to think about it.

Also, this may make ordering the tile a bit easier, as the same PO1
line item data that is being included in the 832 catalog can be
turned right back around in the 850 PO...!

Now, the P01 segment can only appear once, but the LIN loop can be
used over and over and over again, ad infinitum. The same MEA
segment you show below can also appear up to 25 times in the LIN
loop to each PO1 segment, as well. There is also the G55 segment -
ITEM CHARACTERISTICS - CONSUMER UNIT - which has a lot of choices in
it, as well, but can only appear once, but can carry multiple UOM
elements....

Just My thoughts...
