Rachel,

There is no "auto mapping" utility in TrustedLink Windows (TLW). There are
three ways to integrate to TLW:

1. Integrate using the Inovis Catalyst mapper. This is the most
flexible approach. It can probably match the current format that you are
importing into your AS400 system. There is effort required to build maps
and the cost of the mapper. This is for inbound and outbound.
2. Integrate using print forms. This is least flexible. Each print
form will produce a different format. The formats are not very flexible.
This is for inbound and outbound.
3. Export the RAW X.12 to individual files to be processed with another
tool or program. This is for inbound and outbound. However, with there is
more complexity with outbound. Managing the interchange data becomes a real
challenge.

Please contact me if you have any questions.

Subject: [EDI-L] Trusted Link for Windows - auto mapper?

Good Morning,

Can someone please let me know if they are aware of any sort of "auto
mapping" utility that is part of Trusted Link for Windows. We have a
division of our organization that uses TL for Windows as a TP manager
and data communications tool only. The EDI data is translated in RPG
programs on AS400. There are no specs available! We have a
requirement to migrate "maps" to new environment. Was hoping that TL
for WIndows has a utility that would allow us to take the "raw" edi
data and create a base map from the data.

Thanks
