Why, how sweet of you Michael! I've somehow got that "Friday" feeling already, not sure why, maybe it's the sunny weather!

There is a standard rule for documentation: documentation must be designed for the target audience. Your 'electronic trading partners' don't know - and almost never care - how you create the X12 you send them or how they create the X12 they send you. Hmm,.. you know, you could almost think of X12 as a 'standard' for the exchange of common business documents, huh? ... > What I meant by "dumping" is that I can take something like an iDOCS > "Structure" file and -- using a bit of manipulation in a text editor -- > lay that into Excel and then add the X12 cross-references. This reminds me of why I said *almost* never care. I am working with a client's customer who has an SAP ERP system... and an outside firm who handles that customer's X12<==>iDoc mapping. He sent me the "application" mapping so we can speak the same language (his) when we are trying to clarify what he means by that code in I see in the 850 PO segment TD5 element three.
