STRGEN command calls GENTNRC which executes GO GENMAIN.
Did you try putting the gentran libraries in your lib list and trying it?
The Gentran library names will depend on what version of Gentran.
If you are on Ver3.1 then libraries would start with  G3X1.

Ron,

Thanks for the quick response. Unfortunately, it did not really help since
there is no object on their system called STRGEN. Either they renamed it or
I don't have authority to it. In either case, I am stuck waiting for the
other company to (reluctantly) reply.

This also explains why I could not find it which makes me feel a little
better about my memory.
