In my previous position, we had to generate an 855 each time the PO changed in
our system so it sounds like this method is common (although not the official
standard using the 860).

Subject: RE: [EDI-L] Multiple PO Acks for the same PO - SAP

We send many per order if it’s necessary. It is common for us to add items,
change pricing, replace items, etc… Any time a quantity, item number, price,
etc… changes in our orders we reflect that back to the customer in an 855. Once
the order has shipped, we will not generate another 855.

Subject: [EDI-L] Multiple PO Acks for the same PO - SAP

Hi all, I want to get a feel from the group members about generating multiple
PO Acks for the same PO. We have a customer who wants a PO Ack to be sent every
time we touch the PO in our backend system (SAP) Our business process allows us
to send only one PO Ack for the PO. Can you please share your comments on this
topic? Can SAP generate multiple PO Acks for the same PO (everytime we make
change to PO, a new PO Ack has to be generated).

>From a business process point of view, how efficient is it to send multiple PO
>Acks for the same PO?

Thanks in advance for your help.Have a good day!!!

NB.
