Possibly...

Michael,

PLEASE take a step back (or three or four hundred)....

I would NEVER make a recommendation for an ERP system even if (A LOT) more
information was provided because i simply don't have the level of expertise.
And I doubt anyone on this list would attempt to make a serious recommendation
based on a blanket statement or request in the email.

And based on the statement in the original email "I don’t expect a lot of
analysis here"  nor do I think the orginal sender had intended for anything
more
than probably the way I answered it....  My response was simply an answer based
on the two components I have enjoyed working with the most in my career...

Now that the hornets nest has been stirred, perhaps the original sender (Ken
Cox, [email protected]) can correct me if I'm wrong or provide further
clarification about his original email.

I certainly understand how members might want to stay behind the scenes when
others give the type of response you did....   I feel like taking a step back
to
obscurity myself...

Whew.....

It would mean that they are basing their recommendation on their experience, be
it wide or narrow, shallow or deep. Exactly as requested ;)

We old folks had an acronym for questions and answers like this.

GIGO.

Friday really is coming earlier this week, isn't it?

Leah

I had to infer "compatibility."

What would it mean to ask for an ERP system recommendation without
specifying so much as the industry?

Worse.....what would it mean were someone to actually MAKE a recommendation
under these conditions?
