That's true. Regular Windows ftp.exe can do the trick in a very simple
implementation. It is cost effective and easily supported.

FTPs (also referred to as FTP-SSL) supports the exchange of data over TLS /
SSL.
sFTP (Secure Shell File Transfer Protocol) is FTP transfer over an SSH
connection (or you could say within an SSH tunnel).
Both of the above methods help secure the stream and maintain data integrity

Obtaining software such as CuteFTP or WS_FTP has the advantage that it can
handle these protocols in the same software.In addition, some software
applications can handle HTTP/HTTPS file transfer, which makes for a good
investment.
