As Chris Johnson mentioned, 'blocking' the data are a form of data corruption, 
insofar as the 'stream' of data no longer complies 
with standards.

For that matter if you want to get geeky about it, so is unwrapping the data to 
create a "one segment per line [or record]"

However, this is how it is in the Real World, and has ever been and likely will 
always be thus.
