Alessandro, I work in a 3PL environment and we send container based 945's to fulfill this requirement. All we do in most cases is include a MAN*GM under the LX with some number identifying the carton and then include a W12 for the contents. The only issue we run into is if we have more than one order packed in a box. In those cases we split by order and refer to the same carton, but at the header refer back to the same BOL or tracking number.
Thanks, John ________________________________ From: alessandro_zipoli <[email protected]> To: [email protected] Sent: Monday, December 5, 2011 4:49 PM Subject: [EDI-L] Packing confirmation file One of our clients (a manufacturer) is requesting a "packing confirmation" file to be sent to them after the boxing procedure is completed in our warehouse for a given shipment to any of their retailers. That can happen several days before the shipment is actually "closed" and the 945 (shipment confirmation) goes out to them. Is there any VICS codified EDI transaction for this? NOT the 856. thank you AZ [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] ------------------------------------ ...
