Believe me, my entire company agrees with you on that. The biggest part of the problem is, they don’t work for us, they work for rep group(s). Sadly all of the rep groups in our industry have more than enough fossils to keep us rolling our eyes for a while.
I even proposed once that we provide them with laptops, cell connections and a web portal to enter orders directly, obviously providing better service to their customers and to us, something you’d’ think they’d love to do. I was told, quite forcefully, that I “ don’t understand the process of taking orders in this industry”.
