EDI zOS / Gentran 
MFT Experience using SFTP/FTP/FTPS 
UNIX/Linux/Windows 
Experience Required 
8 to 10yrs of working experience in B2B using Sterling Integrator and Gentran 
Main Frame 
Technology Breadth and Depth: Should have significant depth that includes 
hands-on experience on Sterling Integrator platforms 


Architecture and Engineering: Fully conversant with architecting extreme scale 
applications leveraging Sterling Integrator platforms. He/She should be a 
technology leader whose experience and skills span across applications, 
software platforms, infrastructure and operations. 
B2B domain understanding is a MUST. Associated Retail business processes and IT 
systems is considered a plus 
Should be conversant with Software Engineering Models including Agile 
Extensive experience in MFT Trading Configuration setup using SFTP/FTP/FTPS/AS2 
Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills. Dedication to meeting 
deadlines and ensuring quality delivery 
Experience in Vendor Co-ordination 
Excellent interpersonal skills: (e.g., partnering, conflict management, 
mentoring) 
Strong verbal and written communication skill 
Must be comfortable working in a team environment as well as independently. 
1Ability to successfully adapt & apply industry best practices/concepts 
Roles & Responsibilities 
Solution Architect - Sterling Integrator 
Providing technical and architectural leadership on B2B applications. 
Creating project and application architecture deliverables that are consistent 
with architecture principles, standards, methodologies, and best practices. 
Responsible for defining technical evaluation criteria for product and 
technology selection and determining technical approaches. 
Advising and consulting SMEs on technology costs, benefits, and implementation 
requirements. 
Working with business clients and product owners to review business drivers, 
needs, and strategies to anticipate future business / technology needs. 
Provide expert knowledge of solution / application architecture, and consult 
with business and other technology teams. 
Improving processes to ensure alignment between the business strategies and 
application technology roadmap. 
Communicating implications of architectural decisions, issues and plans to 
business and Leadership Team. 
Defining and validating non-functional (technical) requirements, and 
establishing traceability between requirements and application 
architecture/design. 
Providing input to the development of project initiation documents including 
objectives, scope, approach, estimates, and deliverables, when needed. 
Providing support / guidance to the development teams during the analysis, 
development, and testing processes. 
Providing expert knowledge of application architecture, and consulting with 
business and technology teams. 
Working closely with Performance Engineering on defining the deployment 
architecture. 
Participating in technical design sessions led by Application Architects, when 
needed. 
Seeking and capitalizing on the opportunities to improve productivity, 
improving solutions quality, and improving cost effectiveness. 
Improving processes to ensure alignment between the business strategies and 
application technology roadmap. 
Anticipating barriers to change and creating opportunities to remove them. 
Creating a culture which is based on knowledge sharing and learning from best 
practices. 
Exhibiting high level of professional flexibility and volunteering innovation 
and new ideas. 
Driving the collaborative development of the technology strategy, technology 
standards, roadmaps, and practices. 
Interacting with internal & External Teams 
Direct/Liaison offshore activities based on task priority and timeline 
Publish/Provide inputs towards Weekly Status Reports. 
Participate in Daily Stand ups, Status meetings etc.,
