HotCopy / LiveImage
Allows or denies EZ Gig III access to the Windows shadow copy mechanism. If 
this option is deselected, EZ Gig III is not able to create copies or file 
images of the system volume or of volumes, which are used by other programs at 
the same time.

VMware Server (free version) has live cloning, and works quite well.
