Cynical as usual, are we Earl? ;^) So, we're back to the same question. 
OK, you want the X12 standard to be free. Who do you think should pay 
for the continued maintenance and distribution costs?

I think X12 and DISA really do need to start looking more seriously at 
the expense side of the equation rather than just looking for more 
revenue. But that's a completely different discussion and to my 
knowledge no one on this list has access to the detailed financial 
information necessary for an intelligent, informed discussion.
