Some of those people mentioned are in the business of selling their
"unique" methods. I won't mention names, but at least one sells his
services to the business community. Of course, I know that the things he
is selling, he did not develop. He wrote a computer program to do a very
common procedure, where he did some of the developement. I and others
did some of the development too.
I think that it is more a con game than a patent process for much of that
stuff.
For myself, ever since I found out that Amazon is trying to patent using
a mouse to shop online, I have stopped using Amazon for shopping.
