i take exception to the above ... i bet there are stupid folks in other 
disciplines that make stupid statements like that too ...

BUT ... who said it? on what TV program? should we believe everything we 
hear on TV????

in fact, this CAN be true ... depending on your frame of reference ... 
example: say we have a nationally normed test ... and, you are comparing 
YOUR school district's students to the national norms ... it is totally 
possible that 90% of YOUR students could be above the national median ...
