Dear List Members,

If you are in need of a statistical software package but don't want to bother
learning any type of programming language nor have to refer constantly to a
manual, you might want to look at MODSTAT.

The learning curve is almost flat. You can be up and doing any of over 250
statistical tests and routines within 10 minutes after downloading the
program.

It isn't as complicated nor complete as SPSS nor SAS but it does quite well
for those who use statistics on an occasional basis rather than everyday.
Since there is virtually nothing to learn in how to run the system, these is
virtually nothing to forget. It handles most of the problems and examples in
most beginning and intermediate texts on Statistics. It includes all the
nonparametric tests given in Siegel's book.

If you are at all interested:Take a look at:

Modstat does over 250 statistical tests and routines. It even has a routine
to help the user select the proper test to use with the data. It will also
suggest alternative tests in the event that the conditions of the first test
are not met or are in doubt.

A free two-month trial is available. Simply e-mail me your name and complete
postal mailing address.

The one time registration fee, should you decide to continue using the
software after the trial period is only $22.00 for individuals and $17.00 for
students.
