Sorry. What I meant to say was, how is this going to help people with their assignments if he can't structure a sentence, as the groups he wrote to are predominately English speaking and the students mostly from English speaking countries.
I do know that you do not have to be fluent in English to get a PhD. I, myself am from a non-English speaking background, and my father has a PhD from a non-English speaking country.
