Dear EdStat readers,

Last week the EdStat list developed serious problems. The link with the sci.stat.edu newgroup was not working correctly, and multiple copies of certain messages showed up in the list archives. Approximately half of the list subscribers (including me) were mysteriously unsubscribed from the list. We seem to be back in business now, and the subscriber list was restored from backups. I've had one report today of a previous subscriber to the daily digest who started to receive individual messages. If that has happened to you, I'd be happy to fix it for you if you let me know. I'd also appreciate hearing about any other problems you are having with the list. I apologize for any inconvenience you suffered as a result of these problems. You can catch up on any messages you missed at http://jse.stat.ncsu.edu/archives/.
