From your post I get the impression that you would do better with face 
to face consultation.  You might check your local grad department of 
psych, education, sociology, nursing, etc. to find someone who has a 
background in methodology and stat consulting.  If that does not work 
out you might post your geographical location and educational background 
to see if  members of this list can recommend a source of help.
