Check out http://www.stata.com/info/whystata/ It has some screen shots of Stata output. In my field we need to use APA formats for Tables and although SPSS has a zillion formats, APA is not one of them. The text output from Stata is easier for me to cut and paste into an appropriately formated table. Stata graphics is quite flexible and camera ready. Pivot tables in SPSS are absolutely useless since no journals I know of would accept them. They may be great for other things like marketing reports. Alan >
