hello, I try to compile the open edx mobile app connected with self hosted open edX LMS version gingko. I am trying to provide the functionalities of downloading video for offline purpose. It is possible based on this document <https://support.edx.org/hc/en-us/articles/360000484567-Downloading-videos-in-the-edX-App> .
Since edX does not support any Video that is hosted on Youtube from March 2018 based on this <https://edx.readthedocs.io/projects/open-edx-building-and-running-a-course/en/latest/video/additional_video_options.html#additional-video-options>, I try to upload my Video to Amazon S3. However it still show me the same result, "This video isn't yet available on mobile - Explore other parts of this course or view this on web." I am using the open edX component to include the video. Should I use the xblock video as suggested in other posts? I found a hint <https://edx.readthedocs.io/projects/edx-partner-course-staff/en/latest/video/upload_video.html#upload-a-video-for-an-edx-org-course> that describe the process on uploading Video on edx.org, which I assumed it is only for the course that being hosted on edx.org but not for self hosted open edX LMS. This is because there is no Video Uploads under Content menu. Any help would be appreciate. Thank you in advance. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "General Open edX discussion" group.
