Makes intuitive sense to me -- this is roughly the order in which I typically look at the material.
I have a quibble: Andrew Thompson mentions ``literature on admissions best practices'' but he does not cite the relevant publications. It would be good if he were to send out a digest of the papers that he is reading. That is good practice in making an argument, at least in an academic institution. Besides, I would be curious to see which experiments were carried out.
