I have exactly the same problems with Endian in VMware.
I tried different versions (2.1.2, 2.2b1, 2.2 b2, 2.2 rc2) the
timesync-problems are constant.
NTP seems not to work, trials with cronjobs failed.
Because of that, the statistics are deferred, not usable. Searching for
Connection-Problems
is very different if there's no correct event-time.
I searched for an endian-download with vmwaretools included- but didn't find
any.

I hoped for weeks, the new release 2.2 will solve this problem or there's a
guru that
builds a downloadable version with vmwaretools included.
But i don't believe ther's someone doing this with an early version  ;-(
