Hello all!
I am trying the past day to figure out a strange problem with my Endian
(2.4) and my new Asterisk box. The Asterisk used is a PBX-in-a-flash
using the FreePBX Web Interface.
I have configured all SIP trunks (4 in total) and the extensions,
outbound rules and inbound rules. Everything is working as it should.
The problem comes after a ISP disconnect, where I get a new IP address.
I am on a dynamic IP that is reassigned every 24h. As soon as I get a
new IP (I can recreate it by doing a reconnect over the endian
dashboard) the asterisk box cannot connect to 3 of the 4 trunks. The
only trunk still working is an "internal" trunk registering to another
asterisk box over OpenVPN. The error I see in the sip registrations is
that the other 3 connections are "unreachable".
To make the behavior even stranger, as soon as I restart the endian
firewall, all trunks are registering and there is no problem anymore.
Here are my settings:
- FreePBX -
Asterisk SIP settings:
NAT->Yes
IP Configuration -> Dynamic IP
Dynamic Host -> <mydnsname>.dyndns.org
Trunk 1 PEER Details:
username=xxxxxxxxx
type=peer
secret=xxxxxxxxx
nat=yes
host=xxxxxx
Trunk 1 USER Details:
type=user
nat=yes
insecure=very
context=from-trunk
canreinvite=no
Trunk 2 PEER Details:
username=xxxxxxxx
type=peer
secret=xxxxxx
nat=yes
insecure=very
host=sipgate.de
fromuser=xxxxxxx
fromdomain=sipgate.de
outboundproxy=sipgate.de
disallow=all
context=from-trunk
canreinvite=no
caninvite=no
allow=ulaw&alaw
Trunk 2 User Details:
<empty>
The other trunks have similar settings to the ones above. In trunk 2 I
also tried entering a outbound proxy but the result is the same as the rest.
- Endian Firewall 2.4 -
SIP Proxy:
Enabled
Transparent
SIP Port: 5060
RTP Port Low: 10000 RTP Port High: 20000
Outbound Proxy Host: <empty> Port: <empty>
Yes -> Autosave registrations
Yes -> Log calls
Yes -> Firewall logs outgoing connections
I do not have any port forward setup at the moment. My tries to setup
some rules in Port forwarding/Destination NAT didn't have any effect and
the Live Log of the firewall doesn't show any packets being dropped.
What am I missing? Has anyone of you successfully configured asterisk
and endian in such a situation with dynamic IP?
Thank you very much for your time!
Vassilis
