That's the question of the day for folks isn't it? :)

We're coming out with a CMP compatible tool in the next few days that will
allow our Object to Relational tool to be used for high end persistence in
any EJB 1.1 or EJB 1.0 server that has full Entity Bean support. The beans
will also benefit from our highly tuned persistence layer with built
in connection pooling, smart fetching and table spanning persistence and
customizable querying with overall SQL customization. Since our Mapping layer uses a
dynamic repository based Object to Relational Mapping technique that we invented,
(U.S. Patent #5857197), queries can be customized on the fly without Bean
recompile or redeployment through a centralized Swing based Adminstration
tool.

You can request a 30 day copy of the BMP optimized release 3.0.2 RC from
our website. Just go there and request CocoBase Enterprise Relational O/R
and we'll email you the download instructions. The product works with
both EJB and non-EJB environments, and can generate all of your EJB code,
descriptors, manifest and make files for GemstoneJ, Weblogic and Websphere.
The beans themselves will deploy in any Application Server that supports
Entity Bean BMP persistence however, and are not vendor specific. We also
can generate bean relationship code to manage relationships both between
beans and between a bean and non-bean classes. Developers can additionally
add their own code templates to the code generation system and generate
custom java classes or custom versions of beans that comply with your own
coding standards.

So the answer in summary is we'll be releasing a CMP compatible installer
for CocoBase in the next few days, so if that's what you need, we're
probably right for you, especially since we're the only CMP advanced O/R
solution that'll work in any standard EJB server, not just a single vendor's...
