For anybody who doesn't or isn't lucky enough to have the Manning book.
There's also a pretty good custom tag library tutorial on orionserver.com
too. The explainations aren't as in depth as the Manning book (which you can
buy online (read chapters 13-14) ) but it's better than nothing.
