I surely hope that was a typo you made there :)

<slightly off-topic>

1 Lakh == 1,00,000 (Indian style) == 100,000 (American) == One hundred thousand

1 Crore == 100 Lakhs (Indian style) == 10,000,000 (American) == Ten million

</slightly off-topic>

You don't maintain a pool for each row in the table. You probably meant the
number of connections in a pool, aka size of the pool. A pool is typically
shared by multiple sessions. For example, if you expect 100 concurrent sessions
at any time, you may have the pool size to be 10 (depends on how active the
sessions are going to be, really). Now, entity beans (which have, typically, a
one-to-one relationship with rows in a table) may also be cached, and that cache
size is configurable too. In most situations, you would want to restrict the
number of entity beans to a reasonable number also.

Hoping that I haven't made any silly mistakes above,
Ram.
