You might want to take a look at things like Turbine and Jetspeed.
You'll find them at the Apache site http://xml.apache.org and
http://java.apache.org. Essentially they are servlet based dynamic
page generation frameworks and you would be able to plug your existing
EJB components and JSP stuff into them and leverage off features such
as cacheing. Jetspeed is especially cool as it has a portal feature.
