Hi William,
I am using Inprise Appserver 4.1 and currently create
a datasource with the connection paramerters in the
deployment descriptor. The Programmers Guide talks
about creating DataSource for JDBC 2.0 using some tool
called DSDeploy, which has never worked for me. The
explaination is not all that clear. Once I was able to
create a DS using the tool, but couldn't reference in
my beans. Can you throw some light on this DSDeploy
and DataSources.
Another question pertaining to IAS, I have 2 jars
files, each with a session bean and an entity bean and
each has its own DataSource defined in the descriptor
(maybe connecting to the same database). If I try
calling a method of one session bean in another method
of the second session bean (in different jar file), do
u see any problem with transaction??
Thanks in advance.
Yogesh.
