Yes Linda, I use a D104 with my K2/100. There are two versions of the
"G"
stand that usually accompanies the D104. One version has an amplifier in the
base. This version with the amplifier is strapable for HIZ/LOZ, LOZ being
the match for the K2. My D104 was not the amplified version, so I built an
"Emitter Follower Amplifier", one transistor, to fit inside the base and
powered the circuit off the 5VDC supplied at the K2 mic connector.
I did have a problem with RFI on 10meters when running the KPA100 but I
was/am using open wire feeders and RFI is always a possiblity there.
Comments on my audio have been excellent and I am still using the original
crystal element. Some of the users of the D104 have replaced the original
crystal element with a dynamic element from Heil that is a closer match for
the K2. That too works well.
I have the circuit for the amp somewhere around here. I posted it on the
reflector and several responded with requests for the circuit. I will see if
I can locate it and if so, will e-mail it to you.
