Michael,

It seems that you may have placed the passband too low for a 2.5 kHz filter.

For any width filter, the low frequency corner of the passband should be close to 300 Hz. When you install the 2.5 kHz width, set frequency markers in Spectrogram for 300 Hz and 2800 Hz, then set the BFO to center the passband between those markers.

If you need more detailed information, look at my website www.qsl.net/w3fpr article on K2 Dial Calibration - Step 3 gives a lot of information about setting the filters.

Subject: [Elecraft] SSB-TX-Signal is too bassy

Hi,
my SSB signal is a little bit too bassy after i have modified my ssb-modul from 2.0 to 2.5khz. The filter setting for TRX is OP1 in receive mode with lsb and seems with spectrogram full in range between 0.2 and 2.5khz.
What is to adjust?

tnx for your help
Michael, DC0ZO
