The easiest solution to bassy SSB is CW.

Spectrogram is great, but I'd never count on a scope display to tell me what my signal really sounds like! The final settings are just too precise and vary with the mic you are using and your "ear". That's why the SSB module instructions advise listening to your signal and making the final "tweaks"
of the BFO frequencies based on what you hear, not what you see.

Remember, only tweak the BFO frequency settings for OPT1. No other
filter/BFO setting combination is used for xmit, no matter what filter you
have selected for receive.
