Hi Following advices received on this list and from Gary at Elecraft support, I corrected my "ERR 12V" problem this past weekend.
I put some photos and explanations on my blog. Explanations are in french, but photos should speak by themselves. It's at http://www.ferracci.org/?p=1525 You'll see how damaged the 6 pins were on the PA connector. IMHO, this problem worth being mentionned on Elecraft's "mods and enhancements" web page. Elecraft support promised to send me replacement connectors with an order of other upgrades i'm going to place soon. I'm still worried by asking those connectors, even gold-plated, to support 10-15Amps, so maybe i'll keep the "power wire mod" even with replaced connectors. I'd like to make it easily removable though, using "1 wire connectors" like those used on PL259 wires. Questions: - What is the "name" of the "black connectors" used for the PA jumper block ? (such connectors are everywhere, but i don't know their name) - What is the "name" of the "1 wire connector" used on PL259 wires ?
