Simple power off from the power button is not sufficient. Follow ALL the instructions - remove the power plug from the K3 and let all the electrons drain from the electrolytic capacitors, then restore power and power on. When it comes alive, it should blink the LED and should be ready to receive a firmware load. Send ALL firmware to the K3, and in most cases, all will be well.
