It means nothing. Shunt mode surge protectors (MOVs) at branch outlets 
can cause more problems than they solve. The only safe place for an MOV 
is as part of a whole house protector, properly installed at the service 
entrance.  If you want to use a protector on a branch circuit, it should 
be a Series Mode unit.
