Well after talking with support today, I returned home this evening and removed D35. Sure enough, shorted. Then plugged in the radio and tested it. Nothing. Made voltage checks around Q2. 13.8VDC at the source, 2.5V at the Drain and 2.5V at the gate. Gate stays at 2.5V (well drops to 2.4V) whit power on button pressed. but drops to 0V on the other side of R77 so I know the front panel circuitry works. Definitely a bad Q2. Gotta get one quick. Cant test beyond that. Elecraft Technical Support is simply second to none!
